During the open season from Memorial Day weekend through October 31, the park buildings are open every day from 9:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. Please note that during 2006, the sculptor’s home, “Aspet” is closed so that a special mist-type fire suppression system can be installed. A variety of guided tours are offered daily. Please check the daily program schedule at the visitor center. Reservations are not needed for the scheduled tours. Please check for any special events that may be happening during the time of your visit. While the exhibit buildings are closed from November through late May the grounds remain open. It is important to remember that during the winter, while the parking lot is kept open, the grounds are not maintained for public use and pathways may be snow covered and slippery. The administration building is usually open Monday-Friday, and the Eastern National passport stamp is available. Please call ahead if you wish to obtain one of the Federal Golden Passes, or wish to purchase something from the museum shop. Most of your questions can be answered by exploring our website, but please feel free to call (603) 675-2175 x100, if you need additional information, or would like to speak to a ranger. Please allow at least 90 minutes to visit the site. If possible, take advantage of a guided tour. An engaging, 28-minute orientation film, An American Original, is played throughout the day in the Visitor Center, and introduces you to Augustus Saint-Gaudens and his place in American art and history. The park may also be toured on your own, as all artwork has interpretive labels. |
